On Sep. 27, 2010, Dr. Paul Bodelier and Dr. Riks Laanbroek from Utrecht University gave reports in NEIGAE entitled Ecological factors regulating methanotrophy in soils and sediments: Methylotrophy as a model in microbial ecology and the ecology of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria in the Scheldt estuary respectively. They also visited the field stations in Daan after their reports.
Dr. Paul Bodelier and Dr. Riks Laanbroek are top-notch talents on Microbial research. It was the first time for them to visit China. It is hoped that their visit would build a bridge for future cooperation between Utrecht University and NEIGAE and reactive the cooperation projects in the field of ecology.
